With social media networks expanding by the second, it’s important to stay up-to-date with your different platforms. It’s hard to update your networks daily, and sometimes, it’s even unnecessary. It’s good to have a sense of mind on how your profiles look like, however. Why? Because your social media platforms are a direct reflection of you and your company. Customers and companies alike do their homework on these networks to get a better picture of you and your business.
It’s called social media for a reason. Be social! Don’t let your profile sit there and collect dust, take advantage of these platforms to get yourself out there. Use popular hashtags, trending topics, and promote discussion within your networks. Give your followers a reason to follow you and admire your hard work.
Start early. If you’re spending countless amounts of time figuring out if you want to start a new platform – do it. You’ll regret it in the long-haul when you finally decide to go forth, and your following isn’t as large as it could have been. Start your profile early so you can expend your network without even trying to. The worst than can happen is you decide that it’s not for you, then you can delete it and move onto making other decisions and business moves.
Do you love DIY projects, but cringe at the site of making videos? Leave it out! If you don’t enjoy partaking in certain activities, lets face it, you’re most likely not going to be very good at it. It’s better to not have a YouTube channel than to display embarrassing amateur videos that will leave a sour taste in your mouth. Don’t get us wrong, if you want to learn then go for it! Just don’t feel obligated to have every single social network out there for the success of your business.
